DANCE -
African Dance:
Introductory program of African-based movement taught in an invigorating atmosphere. Move with polyrhythms, which are the basis of African dance and many other popular dance forms, such as hip hop and stomp. Explore the cultural significance of the dances. African based movement is a great aerobic workout and it is fun! No experience is necessary. Any age is welcome. (Children may take class if accompanied by a parent.)

Generations:
A beginning level African dance class, geared towards anyone over 50 or that is looking for a fun, low impact exercise class. Children are welcome if accompanied by a parent or grandparent.

Tribal Fusion Belly Dance:
Learn the basic belly dance language. Tribal fusion belly dance is a blend of styles and cultures--from India, to North Africa, to New York urban. A fun, full-body workout that will make you feel transformed.

Adult Modern Dance:
Develop greater flexibility and control, strength and release, expression and self-discovery. A solid introduction to modern dance technique, from grounded to gravity-defying! All experience levels welcome. (Recommended for ages 13 through adult.)

Teen Dance~Roots:
For ages 13 to 19 years old. An introduction to African dance, modern dance, hip hop and yoga.

World Beat~ Kids' Camp:
Children ages 5 to 12 years old will explore African dance, drum, & crafts, while learning about the cultures of Africa through video clips, stories and discussion. Activities differ in each camp. On Wednesday from 11:45 to noon, parents and relatives are invited to see the children perform.

DRUMMING - Tribal Rhythms - Drum Class:
Learn to drum~traditional African rhythms and djembe techniques as well as other tribal styles taught. Step by step instruction, so you can get playing and have fun!
Africa Heartwood djembes are supplied for class use or you may bring your own to play.
